Number one, I would say. Having said that cheating definitely isn't impossible in fighting games. From macros to automatic throw teching.

But 100% agreed. SF6 did almost everything perfect, especially ranked.
They need to make a lot of adjustments, this being near the top of the list.
I did. And it doesn't make the game more grindy. It appropriately matches you with someone who's equally as good as you are with a given character.
As it stands right now, if you're god-tier with Kenshi but you're a beginner with Shao Khan, when you play as Shao Khan you're still going to get matched with a god-tier player due to the cumulative rank built with Kenshi. [/quote]
You don’t think creating separate ranks for each character has potential to be grindy? I will see myself out…
Plus just because someone is trying a new character, doesn't mean they will run into the same "equal playing field level" either. Far from it. Plenty of great players will destroy newer players that have a higher rank with a single fighter they are using than a high ranked frame player trying different characters out. So it doesn't really make much difference imho.
Funny.
Just because the former title did not have it (SFV did not have it either) that doenst mean that is a good thing. Games should develop. In that part MK just didnt. And a good working ranked system is fundamental of a long life cycle.
Knowing the past of NetherRealm Studio games (MK9, MKX and MK11) they used the same template/system for online mode (ranked, kasual, KOH and lobbies). In MK1 it got lost the lobby system, an important feature for an online mode. That is why I don't expect anything for now.
