No, MK1 is by far more entertaining than SF6 even in this early state because World Tour is only playable once and the whole game is summed up on paid battle passes, but MK1 will give you PVE content every 5-6 weeks which is nice.

MK1 is simply better in almost every aspect ( music, gameplay, characters, scenarios, pve, casual, progression ) and SF6 is better only about "optimization", I used " because world tour and battle hub optimizations are ass, but still better than MK1's optimization.

But between MK1 and SF6 I recommend MK1.

PS : Capcom is forcing SF to follow the E-sports path, which is lame and a shame, unlike MK1 that embraced the casual/fun concept of PVE but still with the comp scene, but PVE is more important.

Who cares? I played 2 betas on SF6, I have reached 500h of gameplay, reached Diamond with Ryu and Master rank wih Jamie and I don't think it makes a difference at all. What really matters here is how complete and polished both games are and you cannot compare, MK1 is more than clearly rushed af even pro players admits that. Even if you consider MK1 more fun there's still the fact that matchmaking is broken, there's stutter no matte how good your PC is, crashes, desynchs and poor optimization in general.

SF6 is honestly miserable to play. People praise SF for neutral and footies, but the game has become a neutral skip straight to guessing game.

sf6 is bad the dev focus more on the avatar that have nothing to do with the main game only too sell mtx 15$ a cheap looking skin with 0 face animation . the main roster character can not use , the main roster have any costume update same with world tour o content update

MK Win over other fighting games because of it's Hype!
Fan are more wide, globally known (cause movie etc.).

For 80$, i rather buy sharing account version.

SF6 had way more hype going into it than MK1 did.

SF6 day one also didn't have any issues and neither did any of the betas across platforms.

MK1 didn't have a PC beta, can't imagine why, but I guess we all know now.

Can't say for sf6 but as someone who is new to the mk series, i have been playing this more than mk11. Feels faster in terms of gameplay and the graphics is much more prettier. All the other past mortal kombat games I never took seriously because of how edgy and gloomy the graphics are.

That would be like asking if Skull Girls is better then Guilty Gear or Darkstalkers. While MK is a fighting game like street fighter is a fighting game they really have nothing in common besides they are fighting games.

The play mechanics are not even the same. Street fighter are faster and more technical , MK is slower paced and more about pulling off special move combos. SF combos are a lot easier to pull off then MK which makes SF more technically complex for competitive play.


For Story line and lore though , hands down Mortal Kombat has a far better story line and lore then Street Fighter. (subjectively my thoughts on the last part).
