Can someone explain the fatal blow stuff?

So I get the bar down low and several times Ive been hit out of using it by a simple punch..whereas I go to do the same when others are using the fatal blow in that window and it doesnt stop them?

I also have been using the fatal blow BEFORE the other person and then they hit it in the window and I get by theirs instead? Does not seem right at all.

I don't think anyone knows or cares to know. MK11 also had fatal blows and if you look it up on Reddit you'll find one guy saying there's armor from frame 5, another will say 11 and the third will say frame 3. Everyone is clueless basically. I doubt people know more about MK1.

Whatever. The system is likely similar, meaning that there IS armor but it's not frame one, so your Fatal Blow can be interrupted if you get hit in the very beginning of your FB. So wakeup FB loses to meaties.

Is it armor or invincibility or something else? Nobody knows apparently. How long does armor last? How many hits can you absorb? Can you absorb any type of attack? No answers.
