Dragon crystals earned through Invasions?

I'm wondering if anyone else noticed when dragon crystals were given. I just received them after finishing hourly towers 1 and leveling up Scorpion to level 17. I'm not sure which action triggered it or i was just given them at random. It gave me 200 crystals. Does anyone have an idea on how they're given? I.e. based on level up, challenge, etc.

It could've been from leveling up your player profile level. You get them every 10 levels for that.

You do get them for character mastery too but at level 20 and 31 iirc

Oh thanks, but I think the leveling isn't exactly 10, i have 4 characters that i leveled up to 15 (to get all brutalities for each) and only got dragon crystals twice, once where I wasn't aware of it so I can't say where they came from exactly, and the other in the scenario above, level 17 and finished a hourly towers.

It was nice to get it because I could then afford both Tanya's Brazil costume and Sub Zero's Day of the Dead costume lol

Dragon krystals are a joke you say you get some every time you rank your character up ten times not true I never got any krystals at rank 10 dragon krystals should be able to be earned in game not just buy them with real money

You can get around 5500 dragon crystals for free from the game and some from MK onslaught progress (if you have downloaded the app already). But this wont be enough to purchase all the exclusive premium store content till date so you have to spend real money in any case if you want everything.
