Johnny Cage's Powers

They removed his powers in this game, but at the beginning of the intro you can still see the green aura surrounding him. I wonder if they are setting him up for the next MK game where he will eventually get his powers back, after all we see how some of the others got theirs and maybe so will happen with him, that would be cool.

His power existed in the new Era. You can still see it in his fight moves and cutscenes. It just doesn't have that green aura anymore, instead its like a blurr/light stretching when he use his power.

I think if they make a sequel to mk1 he will gain his green aura
