STUTTERING GAMEPLAY SO BAD (footage)
this is what i am dealing with... online match as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yFOZ_Tu-es

never has any game gave me this much trouble, now to be fair.. not all my matches look like this. this was def the worst one yet but my gameplay nonstop hitches/stutters. i still see some people complaining but not as much which scares me that they aren't focusing on fixing this asap.

from my research, it's just nvidia gpu's/intel cpu's effected. AMD is safe. my specs are..
cpu - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K, 3400 Mhz, 16 Core(s)
gpu - Geforce RTX 4080

and yes, i have all the basic 'solutions' going rn
[nvidia control pannel settings]
Low Latency Mode - On
Max Frame Rate - 60 FPS
Power management mode - Prefer maximum preformance

the ONLY thing that seems to work for people (I have not tested) is disabling ecores in bios... something i don't know if i am willing to do because first of all, why should i be forced to go to that extent to fix a game that shouldn't even have issues like this and second, i am not knowledgeable at all with bios stuff, not worth restarting my pc to get into bios to keep enabling and disabling ecores just to play some mortal kombat.

I just REALLY hope more people complain so they can urgently work on fixing this issue, been waiting to grind this game for so long and i ditched xbox for pc a while ago. would of never imagined it be this much of a struggle for a pc game to be this poorly optimized in 2023

That really sucks. I have 12700k and 3090ti, I don't have stuttering, but I have a disconnect from the servers issue that is really killing my enjoyment. These devs need to put out statements that they are aware and working on this stuff, wtf.

i luckily am not dealing with that but i do see that a lot in discussions too, crazy to have PC port this badly optimized in which we got multiple major issues going on. hopefully both our situations get fixed soon, hasn't been out long so hopefully they start sending updates and patches out quickly

i will say, it usually isn't ever this bad.. but usually every 3-5 seconds i will get a light hitch/stutter. very annoying, but yeah that match i posted was so bad, i looked trash i couldn't do anything tho lmaooo

FWIW my issue was due to having a 240hz display - resolved it by also changing "Preferred Refresh Rate (your display model) to: Application-Controlled. For my MK1 config profile. Limiting the program to 60 max refresh wasn't enough alone. Hopefully this helps!

thanks for the info, tried it out.. can't say i am noticing much of a difference, feels slightly a bit better but i still notice it a little. glad that worked for you and thank for trying to help!

Yep mine is this bad. i9-13900K, 64GB RAM and 3080ti. By all accounts should be butter. It's struggle street. Need a patch ASAP.

None of the Nvidia tricks really did anything. Not really willing to go hamstring my system in the BIOS just for MK1 either. They really need to get on top of this, yesterday.

exactly the same boat here.. going into bios just to make a game work correctly is insane, refuse to do that as of right now

Did you close your game and started it again to try this? Because at least for me the game runs better after I restart it and load all the shaders again, but its only for a short period of time. After about 30 min ~ 1 hour the stuttering starts to get worse and worse with time. Its similar to games that have memory leaks, but I'm not sure if thats exactly the case here.
i saw someone mention that people aren’t letting their shader run all the way through.. i only seen the shader load screen on first install start up of the game. do you know how to load them each time? or does it just automatically do that and doesn’t show that screen anymore

I believe you can disable E-cores on a per EXE basis using Process Lasso. It's free, so it's worth a shot.

That's unplayable, and effectively makes the game deletionware until it's fixed. Imagine that stutter rap combined with the game's woeful online net code (and without cross-play)... Whew! 😵

Frankly, anyone experience similar lag offline (online play gives them a kind of loophole), should, and will be entitled to a refund -- be it beyond the two-hour playtime limit or otherwise. I know that I'd be seeking a refund, were that my game 😫

I have the same issue just so you know you aren't alone. I was annoyed to see the reviews come out so positive.
ZestyMeesa Sep 21, 2023 @ 10:13pm
The only stuttering I have is from connection issues, I'm not sure if I got the better end of the stick or something but it runs perfectly fine for me. I really hope they have better optimizations next update.

Also! Re-watching your video now, all of the overlays are playing when your characters freeze. This might actually be a connection/server issue you're experiencing here

I have same stutters as well, on 3090ti, just a bit less. Still ruins the experience

Same here, 13900k user, the culprit seems to be the 12th and 13th gen intel CPUs.
