Test Your Might
Spoilers ahead for story mode:

The first Test your Might in story mode, with Baraka, is giving me trouble.
I'm using an Xbox 1 controller and keyboard. I've tried all sorts of methods but I can't seem to get the third test high enough no matter what I do. What the hell am I doing wrong?

I can't seem to find other people complaining about it... so it clearly something I'm doing haha

I believe you can disable the TYM if you want

TYM is really easy to deal with though. Just run your thumb across the buttons on the pad until you're within the correct range on the bar, then hit the trigger.

Not when its like the one in that 18 floor tower where the last one is a TYM with one itty bitty sliver of space at the top where the yellow has to fit in.

I wound up having to turn TYM off. I have no idea why I couldn't figure out how to do them correctly...

You can disable the mashing in the options so you only have to push one button to clear TYM in the campaign. ♥♥♥♥ mashing and QTE.

I used quick alternating presses of the three buttons to quickly move the slider up

Old trick I used to use on the older MK games

Put a tea towel or some other thin(ish) material over the buttons on the pad. This will let you rapidly slide your fingers side to side over the buttons without having to actually press them down

I have been using the same method since MK9: get a regular pen or pencil, rub it over the 4 buttons, the meter bar will skyrocket. Give it a try.

Use L2/LT and slide a finger over all 4 buttons. Peace of cake...
