My man, if you ask anyone if she looks like a "combat priestess" they will say yes. If you ask if she looks like a tribal berserker, they will also say yes. They're pretty loose terms.
"This is showing your ignorance. Sub-zero's face model is Tony Chung. And Steve Blum is Sub-zero's voice actor."
So...the voice actor DOESN'T need to look like the character then :) sounds like we're on the same page then. Chung is a reference and they changed some of his features. No complaints here.
"What's a stereotyped african warrior? Those Wakanda soldiers in Black Panther is an example."
What a strange thing to say
"I have always been consistent about wanting character's appearances to look like their face models' which the game didn't achieve."
It sounds like you'd like watching movies more than videogames. Did you cry when the chicken in Moana looked nothing like Alan Tudyk? This complaint makes no sense lol. The entire point of the medium is flexibility to change things and play with designs.
"Your arguement be like "women in MK1 look more realistic than actual human in reality and noone can question about it"."
Where did I say this? I said that the women in MK1 are simply an accurate representation of what women with this kind of strength would look like. They're not caked in makeup and they have strong features. Pretty straightforward.
"Lmao, changing one's cheek bone, chin bone and mouth shape completely is "minor change", really?"
Yes. Slightly adjusting facial features to give new subtle pushes is a minor change.
"Do yourself a favor, find a picture of Sydney Cross and a picture of MK1 Tanya then compare their facial features. You'll see they look nothing alike"
They quite literally look alike if you don't rely entirely on highly edited headshots/glamour shots of her :)
"According to cambridge dictionary,"
I love this because you're still completely wrong. Sexual objectification is the topic my man.
All in all, we can argue for weeks, it doesn't change the fact that you're mad at something 99.99999% of people do not give a ♥♥♥♥ about. If a lack of fap material is your biggest gripe with MK1, I guess the game must be pretty good :)
It sucks to be you, criticizing capitalism while using and abusing it. But your opinion to me is like a cent, in the end it doesn’t have any impact on my life. Have a good day mam
Am I supposed to care?
Lmfao, you are making no point at all but playing with words now.
I guess you lack the skill to comprehend that the subject I was talking about when I use the word "face model/voice actor", is Western game devs' uglification of female characters. And clearly you pretend to blind when I told you that Tong Chung is Sub-zero's face model in MK11, not Steve Blum. You are not telling that you don't know Kuai-liang was Sub-zero in Mk11, are you?
Again, the question again is, what's so nonsense about wanting characters to actually look like their face models? You have never answered this. All you talk about is that "fap material" bullcrap, which I have stated clearly that I oppose having the Dead or Alive style female character design in my very first comment in this post. You are the one who's been having porn and sex all over your brain.
"women in MK1 are simply an accurate representation of what women with this kind of strength would look like. They're not caked in makeup and they have strong features"
You are the one who is stereotyping on the look of women, just like the way you and that Black Magic guy stereotyping on African and Asian people. Who says a woman that can fight must have ferocious face?
"They quite literally look alike if you don't rely entirely on highly edited headshots/glamour shots of her"
You are implying that Sydney Cross and Quynh-chi Nguyen look gorgeous just because of the photoshop editting? Then you are proving me right again, you are disrespecting the face models just like the game developers these days.
"Sexual objectification is the topic my man."
Looks like in your mind, there's no form of objectification other than sexual objectification.
"if you ask anyone if she looks like a "combat priestess" they will say yes. If you ask if she looks like a tribal berserker, they will also say yes"
"Yes. Slightly adjusting facial features to give new subtle pushes is a minor change."
I guess you come a place where stereotype is reality, a complete change of skull bones is minor, arrogance is respect, war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.
This entire redditor style essay you wrote boils down to the same logic as weirdos who during debates about racism go "you're the REAL racist for bringing up race." I have no idea what you're talking about with the african accusation and accusing me of having porn and sex on the mind in a thread whining that virtual women in a fighting game aren't sexy enough is silly.
"You are implying that Sydney Cross and Quynh-chi Nguyen look gorgeous just because of the photoshop editting?"
I don't get it, are you a virgin or something? The way women look for photo ops / special events is different from the way they look when exercising / regular day activities. Foundation, blush, eyeliner, etc. These are all things that they're wearing in those headshots. You would not fight with a full face of makeup lol.
You said I was twisting your words but it's all you seem to be doing here.
"Looks like in your mind, there's no form of objectification other than sexual objectification."
The discussion is women in videogames and their sex appeal. Are you okay?
"I guess you come a place where stereotype is reality, a complete change of skull bones is minor, arrogance is respect, war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength."
What are you even on about with this one?
At this point I'd rather invite you on stream sometime for a formal debate over a call because you're hyper-focusing on the dumbest details while whining about me supposedly doing the same. My discord is oxustudio, feel free to add me.
