Okay but nowhere did the devs say anything about purposefully uglifying characters lol. The women in the game are still hot muscle mommies with big thighs/asses and tight outfits. Most women do not look like the women in this game lol they've got perfect bodies

Peak women look exactly like the old, correct MK designs used to look like, and in fact, that's exactly the only body type you'll ever see if you enter a gym and look at women who exercise heavily and regularly.

As for the body types I think you misunderstood my point; I do not have a problem with the design of these characters at all. They're hyper-fit but not disgustingly hyper-fit. Games don't need to 1:1 real life at all, that would be silly but they've turned down the exaggeration to ground the characters a little more and that's great. Men in older games were so insanely jacked that you could fit your entire hand in the crevices of their abs. They're still shredded in this, but it's toned down. I don't see any men or women complaining. Take a look at Liu Kang between MK9 and now. EPSECIALLY MKX where they gave him a much more "80s jacked" style because that's another thing to consider. Peak male performance 40 years ago was nothing like what it is today. Hugh Jackman's wolverine which is now the standard for superhero bodies and the one many men start going to the gym hoping to achieve is not going to happen. It's pure aesthetics through fasting and dehydrating + steroids. The reason men aren't more up in arms about the men and are hyperfixating on the women is because we've always held women to insane beauty standards lol. Dudes say they like their woman "natural" then point to a picture of Taylor Swift wearing tons of blended makeup.
