Anyone use Johnny Cage?

Played since first day the prerelease was available and chose to main Johnny Cage but I'm really starting to think I made a mistake. Just curious to know if anyone has any advice/tips.

Main gripes being

-Absolutely no zoning/way to deal with zoning-

Projectiles are gone for Johnny and his Shadow Dash seems like a joke to bridge distance. Shadow Kick is very predictable and gets punished pretty easily, some matchups can full combo off of it.

-Mixups are very predictable-

Johnny Cage has maybe 8ish combos but I've only found 3 to be useful. 2-1-2, f1-2-3/4. However these moves become very very predictable after a while and everything I can abuse for mixups every other character has but better.

Hoping maybe other JC players can help me or give me tips that they do to overcome these things.

Forgot to mention hype is an absolute joke. This is another gripe but its pretty hard to set up and the reward for getting it is mediocre at best against anyone who knows what they're doing (good pub stomper though).

He's insane if you get someone in the corner you just win the game with pressure. Check out Kanimani play him he's easily the best Johnny Cage player

I would agree his corner pressure is intense, just getting to the corner is also intense, but in a bad way xD. Thanks for the suggestion I'll check him out.

I play Johnny,he is strong but not easy to play. His fatal blow also tricky . U have to be very precise with blocks and do good combos,otherwise u get smoked .

Yes corner pressure is really high, JC is pretty safe in what he does. Maybe try Sub-Zero as a Kameo, his ice Armor helps with projectiles if thats what you are struggling with. JC is definitely pretty high up there being one of the strongest.
