Steam Deck new settings after update! (My settings)

Alright guys first thing's first. I have made my Steam Deck use 4 GB of VRAM and am using Cryo utilities as optimum. Google can help you on that aspect. It's really simple to do.

So new update!

Here are my new settings for optimal framerate and playability on Steam Deck.

Graphic settings are as follows...

Video Mode - Borderless
Screen Resolution - 1200 x 800
Render Res - (This you won't change, but will end up being 756x472)
VSync - OFF! (It claims of possible screen tearing, but I never experienced it)
Graphic Preset - This will be Custom when we're done. Don't mess with it.
FPS Limit - I do use 60, because some stages will run at 60 FPS. (Not all stages are as demanding as the benchmark stage, far from it actually.)
Upscaling Method - AMD FSR 1.0
Upscaling Quality - Balanced (This will force the render res to 756x472)
Upscaling Sharpness - (I set this at 30, but it's up to you. The value doesn't seem to cause any problems. So your choice)

Now press Select (Sometimes you have to press it twice)

You should be seeing Advanced.

Texture Quality - Medium
Shadow Quality - Low
Bloom - Off
Ambient Occlusion - On
Reflection - Off
Chromatic Aberration - Off
AA Mode - FXAA (I tried both. TAA makes everything look smeared and blurry. But you can pick either as neither harms performance)
Particle Density - Medium.

The benchmark stage should rate the average framerate at 45 or 46 FPS. Again this is because the benchmark stage is EXTERMELY TAXING. If you play with the setting I use, you'll play stages literally between 50 and 60 FPS. It depends on the stage as they are not ALL as demanding for performance. The worst you'll probably get is 42 FPS or something on a really demanding graphical stage. Otherwise...... Everyone HAVE FUN! Steam Deck is AWESOME!

HOLY SHIFT I HIT 50 FPS on the Benchmark!!!! STEAMDECK!

I rebooted the deck if nothing else changed. 50 FPS as average on the settings I provided doing the benchmark.

Umm... Most of the stuff now runs between 50 and 60 FPS as I play. Wow! i am blown away.

Okay it's pretty consistent. This is insane! Steam Deck is great if you know how to set it.

Steam Deck is way outperforming the Switch version now. At least from my playing. This is optimal.

Can confirm getting 55-60fps on SD with these settings (4gb VRAM - without cryoutilities installed). Cheers
