MK1 Needs a SSD / NVMe Drive to Run Properly?
So, I was really excited to get this game (even after hearing questionable things of the PC port and looking at the HORRENDOUS Switch port), but I ran into issues from the get-go with the shaders loading. So I basically had to shut down and restart the game twice JUST to get past the title screen. And then when I finally get in, the loading was atrocious!!! Granted, once I got into a match on Practice mode and such, everything was okay. But it took 20 seconds to even load the "Character Select" screen and then if I hover over a character, it took 5 seconds to load the character!

But then looking at other posts and responses, I put the game on my NVMe Drive...and everything is fixed with the loading. No issues (at least compared to what I was dealing with before)! So I personally would say, if you don't have a SSD or NVMe -- at least right now until they optimize the game better -- I wouldn't recommend getting the game because the loading will piss you off quite a bit in my experience, unless you guys just don't have any issues.

My Setup:
1TB NVMe M.2 + 2TB HDD
AMD X570 Chipset
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
16GB DDR4 RAM

I asked someone this earlier but they said they were running it fine on an HDD.

I have it in my HDD because my SSD is for other things and thus game will eat space, loading times are really annoying, the level up menu in invasion was more than 10 seconds long

But the game sucks.
have my game installed on SSD (evo 970 plus 2TB) and still took me 20s to enter the pratice mode. Have no idea...

For me its bad on Hdd loading time for loading into versus is 40 seconds and when selecting characters then loading into the fight is another 40 seconds so ive bought and external ssd

I loaded this on my SSD and it still won't run.

I have my game installed on SSD (evo 870) and everything is almost instant.
Character after-selection clash and scenario loading happen really fast.

The game is fully playable on HDD.

But you will pay with your time for it. EVERYTHING in the game take much longer. Every menu, every mode change, anything that involves a character select screen.
