The Game Session Has Desynchronized

Once I get into a ranked match, the second the characters intros start playing, the game ends with a "The Game Session Has Desynchronized" message. Kombat league is literally unplayable. For kasual matches, I can load into a game and play just fine, but if I try to rematch the same player, the Desynch issue happens again, So to play online I either have to play a single kasual match, and find someone new, or nothing at all. Kombat league doesnt work, rematching in kasual doesnt work.

UPDATE: THE ISSUE MOST LIKELY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH SHANG. ONCE I BOUGHT THE DLC FOR HIM, THE ISSUES WENT AWAY, IM NOT SURE IF THAT IS THE SAME FOR EVERYONE BUT IT WORKED FOR ME AND OTHERS (PROMISE IM NOT A NRS EMPLOYEE TRYING TO GET U TO SPEND MORE MONEY LOL)

It also counts as a loss in ranked, regardless of score. If you are up 2-0 and the game desyncs between game 2 and 3, it puts you back to the menu and counts as you losing the entire set, which is really irritating.

I have the same problem but it's not a technical problem but an account because I tested the game with my brother's account on my PC and it works

I have same issiue i was able to play like 2 fights and like 7 desync after mb 30 sec-1 min of playing not sure what is the problem but it is just strange that mk11 and X worked fine they are planing to patch this somehow or what ?

interesting so it seems like a server issue or syncing issue on their end or with steam or something and not like a local pc issue. would have been good to know so i didn’t mess around with my pc so much and reinstalling etc 😂

mk11 had the same problem for few weeks or like a month idr exactly how long it was

Seems like that ENABLING Family share and play the game on a sec account would make it run without the desync issue, Just tested it

same in here too im playing MK series to play against people not to play story mode cause all the series before have garbage story the same story since 1991 so plz try to fix the online modes

I finally fixed it by buying Shang Tsung. I've been having the game session has desynchronized on PC for days now.

I'm not sure how many of you are in the same situation as me, but I pre-ordered the game on PS5 but not on PC. This caused me to have Shang Tsung unlocked on console but not on PC even though its the same WB account which makes no sense. I have a bunch of stuff unlocked for him from invasions.

So I let myself get scammed for $8 for science and it worked for me.

I'm not sure if its either because I had him on console and not PC, or it's because I've unlocked gear and palettes for him and this spaghetti code of a game doesn't like that. But after 8 straight Kombat League games I am no longer getting the error during the intros and can also rematch in Kasuals.

Lmao bro, I cant believe this is what did it.. I was in the exact same situation as you. I have the game, and shang on PS5. Now I own him on PC, and issues completely gone.. The only question I have is for everyone who doesn't have the game on console and has the same issue, what do they do? Do they have to buy shang anyway? Thanks tho, I cant believe that was it

That's a good question I wonder if you don't have both console and PC versions like us, does having unlocks for Shang Tsung from invasions without actually having the character causing some issues?

Does anyone here with the error only have the PC version, does not have Shang Tsung, but has unlocked his costumes from invasions?
