he is very strong tbh i played him and i really understand why his dmg is lower than it was in beta, if you play him properly you can beat any character that 1 combo half your hp bar, dmg on his combos really depend on what kameo you pick and how you will do them, it can go to 50% but truth is you need to pick kameo which is helping cover his weakneses or fit your gameplan/playstyle. I think he schould stay this way atleast in terms of dmg

Sub Zero and Scorpion should always be the bottom 2, especially now as reparations after the easymode cancer theyve been for the past few games in a row. Learn to actually play or try playing a real character for a change

His EX clone is bugged after the latest patch... it doesnt even freeze the opponent. But he seriously needs buffs though cos no one in tournaments even uses him due to losing matchups against majority of the roster.

Sub has an extremely high level of defense. If you play him correct it is very hard for your opponent to get anything going against him. He has great zoning tools and the ice clone allows sub to control the pace of the entire match. That being said, unless you use a kameo like sareena (or cyrax for corner combos) his damage is just not good at all. I think his low damage gets made up for by his high defense.

+1. He needs buffs really much, actually damage is not his real problem. His b2 is reactable even online, so you can say that he doesn't really have 50/50. B2 is also unsafe and you eat full combo if opponent blocks it. As for his zoning tools, ice ball is useless, it takes 100 years to shoot one, very long startup. As for ice clone projectile - also long startup, hard to win projectile wars with it, also does not travel across all screen.
So as of now sub relies on kameos really much to survive.
I'd say keep the damage, ♥♥♥♥ it, but make b2 fast and unreactable or safe on block, that would work too, then he will be good enough.

I saw a video where he did a 40+ hit combo and barely got 30% damage.

He needs buffs bad.

Sub zero is trash in this game. Super slow, ice ball is trash, enhanced ice clone is broken, his only launcher, the over head is super slow opponents react AFTER you start the hit. All his moves are super high frame. Not to mention is BROKEN damage scaling, so weak.

He's DMG is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trash, always see how JC and Raiden (with Cyrax and Jax) deal 60% dmg, sub just sit in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trash

Funny enough I'm coping by forcing myself to play him but I'm slowly realizing or guessing here, but I think he's supposed to be played differently. He gets no dmg but I've been playing around more clones and the ground freeze for chip dmg. Only adjusting that way bc of the endless amount of Johnny players you run into, but I feel like a lot of characters could be played around that playstyle at least until some more changes are made. (RIP Enhanced clones though)
