I remember when Keanu was doing these b action movies like Man of Tai chi, 47 ronin, which i thought were great, specially Tai Chi, the choreography was phenominal and then John Wich came, and like usual no one cared except for martial arts movie enthusiasts like myself. And then over a meme, it blew up, and i knew itd be bad for the franchise later, and I was right. JW is now just a lazy popcorn flick, the recent one sucked imo even when they had Donnie f Yen and Scott Adkins.

Instead they create their own crap characters, and snub SF characters from the slot anyway. Same results, at least MK gets great guests

As much as John Wick: chapter 4 has amazing action, it has the worst script by far, and very dragged scenes, but the ending of Chapter 3: Parabellum already has telegraphed this. The "staircase scene" should have been completely cut.

What annoyed me the most was that dog character shoved in every sequence of the story. He had no purpose, no contribution to the plot, his actions didnt matter, he was a nobody actor in a franchise of action stars and legends, yet he took more footage than Donnie and ruined almost all action scenes. He was just put to tick that box, and gave him a dog for applause break scenes and possibly setting up a spin off with him as the new dog guy. They couldve gotten an actual action star like Michael Jai White, but they ruined it with this crap nobody. All of us were annoyed in the theatres, while the normies applauded like they were supposed to. Im sticking to HK movies for action stuff now
