Not going to buy it anyway, not a fan of this genre.
Just checking out forums, looking at people, you know, the usual stuff.
Well that's fine then. But the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on NRS is not really needed unless they really ♥♥♥♥ up with MK1. We'll see though.
It is needed. The game is asking for a base cost that is higher than the standard full price for the game, and has paid microtransactions on top of that. That is horribly anti-consumer and needs to be called out.
Microtransactions in all MK games have been optional. You dont miss out on anything and there is no FOMO with it. There sure wasnt with MK11.
Premium Edition includes Kombat Pack, 1 week early access to downloadable content characters, and 1250 Dragon Krystals (In-game Currency).
Kombat Pack raises the price, and so does early access and the 1250 dragon krystals. Nothing is free in this world.
I'm not talking about premium edition when I say asking above full price. Even if you just buy the standard, cheapest edition it costs more than the standard full price for new games. And just because the microtransactions are optional does not excuse them. They shouldn't exist in the first place. They will do exactly what they did with MK11 and make it so that the grind is so insane that you're all but forced to pay to unlock the things you want.
This is a brand new game. Expect high prices. As I said, nothing is cheap nor free in this world. Should've learned that already at a young age.
Its not higher than base cost sadly the base cost of every new AAA game is $70 you just need to accept that. Also every game has microtransactions its just industry standards now and not here to debate good/bad with you but at some point you will have to accept it or quit gaming. Also fighting games have been one of the 1st micro-transactions model in gaming. Look at how many releases SF2 got all full price each time but with new characters or stages and balances. For MK1 I'd say its pretty fair considering the only that's paid for is cosmetics which don't effect the game at all and its not like you want something for characters you don't play. Also you're on PC you can just get mods for cosmetics. Even then its not bad considering all the season passes are free to unlock skins, colors, cosmetics for each character. MK & SF are far from predatory.
It's a brand new game, yeah. And it costs more than brand new games usually do (which is already more than they should be charging realisitically) for no legitimate reason.
No it's not. They've put a lot of work and time into this game. They deserve that money.
So you're just a shill and don't care about when you're getting ripped off I guess. No point even having this conversation. Feel free to enjoy getting shafted by NRS.
Oh I am not a shill. I just love the Mortal Kombat games. I dont care who makes them. Ed Boon had a chance to make a very negative change and restart the MK era with battlepasses. fomo, etc... He had a chance to pull an Overwatch 2. He did not. He stayed with how it's always been, with some extra sprinkles added on. How can you hate on this man?
