Is the pc version going to have crossplay?

Crossplay was briefly listed as a feature on the Steam store page before being removed. Which suggested it might have it.

There was a FAQ entry on the Mortal Kombat 1 website which said crossplay would be available post launch, but didn't specify any platforms. This was also removed.

Mortal Kombat 11 has a form of crossplay on PC but not in the Steam version. The Xbox App version can play with Xbox consoles.

Honestly, it's hard to say overall as there hasn't been any official announcement or mention of it publicly

We have to wait to know, but crossplay is a must nowadays imo, every new fighting game has it now.

I went ahead and canceled my premium preorder on Steam just in case. I will buy this on PS5 and see what happens. Under no circumstances, do I want to be limited to a player population of just people on Steam

Interestingly, the FAQ also mentioned "crossprogression" in the question on crossplay (that they removed). So, if they do end up implementing crossplay and crossprogression down the line you shouldn't lose out (if you decided to get the game on PC later).

But again, nothing is confirmed for sure

Ok, i hope it does have crossplay. Playing on PS5 means i need to buy ps plus to play online and would end paying a lot more :c

No crossplay on launch but likely down the line. It was added on steam and taken down likely because people would moan that the game does not feature this (as it'll likely come post launch).

SF6 and tekken 7 have cross-play but unfortunately mk1 didn’t even test cossplay during the beta or announce that the game will have crossplay 😭

Crossplay with other PC versions is a requirement if you want to sell a MP game on the Epic Game Store, so it will definitely have that for all PC versions (Steam, Windows and EGS). I'm not sure if PC will have crossplay with consoles.

yeah this whole "this system can crossplay with that one but not this, and that one crossplays with that one but not this other one" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ needs to stop. crossplay is all platforms playing with all platforms, period. either it has crossplay, or it doesn't. this game doesn't. developers keep getting away with this ♥♥♥♥ calling something "crossplay" when it's not because of this ridiculous ever-changing definition. the line needs to be drawn somewhere, and it's up to players to draw it. stop calling anything that isn't FULL cross-platform "crossplay" so these developers stop getting away with false advertising.
