Does this game worth playing just for PVE?

I usually dont play this type of genre and figured that I would prefer playing with the pve content more than pvp. Is this game still worth for that?

Definitely. I’ve been playing the series for years and rarely ever go online. There is a lot of single player content.

If you care only about single player, you could wait for a discount or a complete version. Otherwise, if you hop online a bit later, you'll get bodied especially on PC platform with smaller playerbase which means less noobs and scrubs.

No. All the "PvE" (if you can even use the term "environment") is fighting increasingly cheaty dumbots, plus mutators (to make it even more annoying). There is no action-adventure mode, and the board game "Invasions" mode is just a glorified menu for linear progression from one cheating dumbot to the next -- in order to access content that one has already paid for.

I do sometimes when I need a reality check. I’m old and get frustrated by getting bodied constantly. 😂

So, I love fighting games, grew up playing them and am half decent at them. I STILL get bodied.

However when you are playing with friends around the same skill level, fighting games are the most fun. I am also not a fan of regular online versus outside of that.

I LOVE the mortal kombat plot lines, always have. Followed every bit of Mortal Kombat media not just the games. I never even bought the last game (Because no reptile, so without my main I had no interest in playing) but I still loved the story. I watched it all on youtube.

Thing is, in that instance I would say your best choice is to decide:
-Do you only want the story? You can just watch it on youtube after all.
-IF you want to play it, do you want to play it for PvE at launch or wait for a big sale like a year from now?
-Do you want to buy it now and play PvE, and then either play with friends or give online a shot?

Really those are probably the things you need to decide atm.

Same man, I understand totally. You get slower too, hard to keep up.

I got to play against SonicFox at MFF some years ago, so I mean any whooping I get online pales in comparison to that, so it kinda helps you not feel so bad haha.

I think its worth it like it has always been worth it just to play vs the AI just like in the other MK games. So far I have 2 friends who are gonna buy it on PC but they gonna buy the normal version when me I'm getting the expensive version just cause I want everything right from the start ( its not for the 1 week early access ). Also we gonna play the story mode with the invasion mode and the classic towers plus if there's Boss Fights like in the last 2 games where you could be 2 or 3 vs a Boss, that would be great even if the AI Boss is hard to beat. So we gonna play PvE most of the time and were gonna play online too like in King of the hill or other modes in PvP but we've never realy played online on PC so we dont know how people are good on PC compared to console. My friends arent that good at MK but they want to learn and I'm gonna help them for sure cause I aint bad at all at the game since I've been playing most MK games but I can still get my a** whoop here and there. You just gotta make a noob friendly lobby if you want to start playing online.

I have always enjoyed MK series alone, or with friends. I have the MK 1-3 Arcade machines behind me, and my family and i still play them. The Story mode towers from the originals were fun, and when the game got a bit more cinematic with the story, it just got even better. The towers of MK X, and 11 were fun, so i imagine they will have those too. There will most likely be a lot of ways to customize your characters too, so that will be fun to try and make everyone look as unique as possible. I happen to be lucky enough to have a girlfriend "im never getting married again lol" and my 18 yr old son to play these games with too, so when going on npc massacre get boring, i just let them hop on for a beating too lol. I hope you enjoy this game, i think i will be amazing solo
