Why does it look so bad?

It's being advertised as "new this, new that" but it looks like the same thing as the last two decades of iterations. It's not even on par with the Batman combat system. The animation between the striker and the opponent getting hit don't match. Like, the guy gets kicked into the air, then he freezes in mid air and gets all rigid while the guy continues to roundhouse kick him and he stays frozen in air shuddering a little bit after each kick and it just looks ridiculously stupid. Then the one guy supposedly shatters the bones in the opponents leg but the opponent just stands there swaying like he's a narcoleptic about to fall asleep. Plus, why even bother with a back story and dialogue if it's just going to be THAT hollow mess in the video. The graphics look straight outta 2009. My goodness, and you want HOW MUCH for this?

You said that ''the graphics looks straight outta 2009''. You have a vision problem if you say that the graphics are horrible. Even the stages where the characters are fighting looks slightly better with the background. The game looks way more better than a game from a decade ago. Just dont buy the game if you dont like MK at all. I've been a fan of the franchise since the start and the graphics nowadays looks way more better than MK2 up to MKX and MK1 looks a bit better than MK11 there's no doubt about it.

Thats actually a really cool looking Sub, usually his head is covered so we woulnt know if he's bald, also Ermac looking slick!

Its just the hardware was so dated man, even for its time but the design concepts you could still tell how cool the potential was, like with Darrius design you almost just forget about the character for years and years but then MK1 trailer and its like woah was that DARRIUS?! He looks amazing, like the vision was finally brought to life.

not in this new one it doesnt. they got a bunch of cosplayers and nerds now

I was joking with my post, but what do you mean by calling them cosplayers?

Is their acting bad?
if it's bad, are they trying too hard or not enough?
Are the outfits not fitting (for who they are)?

This is kind of a new insult I've seen lobbed at this game. I think it's an appropriate description of bad celebrity acting such as Rousey and now Megan Pox. But for the whole game I'd disagree.
