Why does it feel like Mk11 2.0 ?
I kind of expected it to have some different mechanism like adaptation from Mk X or something completely new but it is has taken lots of elements from MK 11 and feels like Injustice game when they do the special move / X ray/ whatever it is called now

Yes Graphics are beautiful , the gore is great but i kind of expected more fluidity in fighting mechanics but lot better compared to Mk11 for sure

They seem to be really banking on the Kameo Assists being the big new thing. I'm a little disappointed because I expected something bigger and wackier with how long it took to reveal the game, but ultimately, I don't think we've seen enough yet to know what core gameplay is going to be like.

yea true this mechanism was already in MK11

a typical opinion of a person who did not have time to deal with MK11 in his couple of dozen hours, but saw that the characters are similar and also fight ... "so this is a clone!" no, there is nothing to do with MK11, except for graphics + - of the same level

we surely had those consumable assists in towers of time back in mk11, which are pretty much the same as kameos

I wish it was more similar to MK11. But this looks like krap. Not gonna lie, when I first saw gameplay, I was dumbfounded and thought it was a mobile version of the game or something. The character models are more cartoonish now and facial animations are garbage. And cameos only exist because they are easy to monetize. It completely breaks the atmosphere when you have random unrelated people interfere into fights. Like, when Raiden and Kenshi are fighting in the Shaolin Academy - why are there Sonya and Kano popping up every 5 seconds? What do they have to do with that fight story-wise? I want that nonsense gone from the game.

MK 11 looks better.
And I say that as someone who doesnt like MK 11.

It looks as if some graphic designer at an art school, who doesnt know what Mortal Kombat is, has become the homework to create Mortal Kombat themed characters and stages ;)

The dark tonality, the grittyness and edgyness......... totaly gone. ⚰️

there is nothing in common. A cameo is an enhancement of a special move from the previous parts, only now this move is made not by the main character, but by an auxiliary one. what the bars are spent on in this game. in mk11 you could call helpers at any time, but here you call them on breaker, x-ray and enhancement

Only looks like MK11 2.0 in graphics, gameplay looks faster like it's MKX 2.0 but with MvC1 2.0 kameo assists. Character select looks like MKX style, meter bar looks like MK9/MKX style.

However pay attention to MK11 arenas that are 90-100% indoor maps with no draw distance. MK1 already has alot more outdoor maps and you can look out long ranges. So I welcome that.

The graphics do not look as bad as showcased in the summer game fest trailer.
That first trailer did them no favor. I like some of the shown stages. But Mortal Kombat needs at least a 50/50 mix of sinister/gritty stages and more gracefull ones, or its not a Mortal Kombat.

That being said, the animations still look like typical NRS jank, and the hit confirm audio/impact sounds are really low quality and..... Sub Zero, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Milena, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Raiden and Liu Kang look like npcs without any form of personality. I really wonder if they just UE5 metahuman dicerolled them.... that would be so funny, in a tragic way.

Oh and the blood effects still look like ass.
Its so weird that out of all games, with all of the UE5 fluid simulation tech available, MK is the one, which cant render realistic blood flow, despite having it in literally every fatality and fatal tag blow.

I watched the trailer first in 1080p. It wasn't until I changed it back to 4k did the game actually look good. The other item is HDR, which really can't come through a youtube video. So I have to load the game to see it properly.

About the personality part, I felt that too. At first I though Liu just had no personality. But then Johnny felt kind of NPC-ish too.

You know what? I know what I am saying , I have enough hours in MK11 to tell this
The reason I have less hours in Mk11 is because it is trash, it lacks fluid moves uses fatal blow as crutch and has very less combos. The only positives are cinematics fatality which have good gore but these things don't make a fighting game. For me the best Mortal Kombat game is MKX

Dude I have played online matches I'm pretty sure I know what I am talking about. Yes my hours are below 100 it doesn't imply that I don't know about the game
