For the love of god learn to use quotes and get some reading comprehension while you're at it, you're operating under the misconception that im talking about completely different people, im talking about the literal hordes of people that always post pics of mk9's girls (mostly kitana for some reason) every time a new design is revealed and flood comments with ♥♥♥♥ like "boobs too small" and constantly talk about mk as if sexy characters was the only reason it got popular in the first place.
these are not the same people that for example look at tanya's design in mk1 and brought up actual critisms like her missing white eyes, face paint, choice of hair, etc.
That has been the case with mk ever since the start of the 3d era and characters started looking more unique from one another, literally look at reptile and smoke, at most they got to keep one or two elements of their classic designs like how kitana just had that one swimsuit alt that was meant to look similar to her classic in MKDA.
And as for the DOA thing, i literally just explained it. It's not that deep.

No, stop, there are objective facts about good character design that are to be both praised and criticized, for example there is a planet sized difference between people simply saying "I like mk9's design better" and saying "MK9 had better character design", people rarely, if ever use the first.
There is a lot that can be said about a characters design and why they're good and bad, how do these outfits reflect that characters personality and powers, what does it say about them, for example, mileena, she's always been a "succubus" archetype character, so she should be dressed as skimpy as possible, but for example, raiden has always been a more reserved and subdued character which is why he always looks weird when he has his chest out.
the discourse around if reptile should a human or a lizard is another one, people say that it's better for him to look human because it makes him much more threatning for seemingly a normal human to be moving at abnormal speeds and spitting acid when compared to a lizard man. That is an example of people bringing up actual points to critique another design, this almost never happens with the girls and it's just about how big their boobs are.
Right, mk11 has an open back and heels (which are most likely there because of how animations work), therefore it has the worst designs in the entire series and nrs should be ashamed of themselves, sorry.

whatever she got since mkx was censored even from mkda level; i cannot really recongize this or earlier styles in any female character design, all i can recognize - it was erased / heavily censored
