New Dawn mod question

I was considering trying this mod for another playthrough. For those who don't know, this is "a full game rebalance and difficulty mod," that essentially makes the game more, shall we say...not as easy as heck? I love this game, but even I will admit you can easily get super overpowered to the point where every boss essentially becomes a joke except Galdera.

But for those who have tried this mod, I have a question. Who would you recommend I start with? I am asking this so I don't get potentially totaled by random encounters before I get my second traveler in my party (which is why I don't think I will go with Osvald due to his low health).

Don't worry about having issues at the beginning. If you consider the vanilla game easy you'll have zero issues no matter who you start with. With Osvald the bigger worry is his boss (who because of the higher health pool you tend to run out of SP too much), but in general the entire chapter 1....sequence as it were....is only a little more difficult. It doesn't really ramp up into under the later chapter 2s.
