For me, anytime a game is available on PC, i will always get the PC one.
Better FPS stability, Better Graphics as well, and on my end game's are cheaper on Steam compare to Nintendo Eshop or physical copy for Switch.
(p.s. roughly 15%~20% cheaper even on official launch, i think it's mainly due to currency on different country)
Another reason is, i don't play any switch game portable and it's 99% of the time docked,
so unless it's a game like Monster Hunter Rise where some of my friend only buy the switch version, so i had to get on both PC and switch to play with friends on both side, i generally buy all my games on PC if available. I mainly buy games digitally now a days, as it helps save some irl room space as well~
Buut if it turns out that it runs like ♥♥♥♥ on the switch, then I might cancel the preorder after all...
Obviously, graphics are gonna be a little better on PC and PS5 but for this style of game, it doesnt really matter to me
For multiplatform games I often prefer PC especially if they're on Steam but Steam often sadly means there's no physical media. Not even a quick installer disc to save some bandwidth. But now, as an added bonus now many Steam games will work with a Steam Deck which is like a Switch.
Paying full price for a Digital release doesn't usually sit right with me unless it's something I'm going to play right away especially if it has competitive online. I'm still working on the first one so I'll wait for a sale. $80 CAD is a bit much for a game even when it if physical for me when I already have so many I haven't played. Digital can usually wait most of the time.
