Alright so I have the game borrowed from my brother's library, neither him nor me can play using the controller (xbox and switch). We have tried three controllers, each of them working perfectly with every other game.

The KBM solution isnt one for us alas. Any idea how to make the controllers work? He plays the 1st on his computer with one np, yet the sequel just doesnt respond to anything.

As long as your controller is being recognized by Steam, it should work for every game. You may just need to go to your Steam controller setup and make sure either the Xbox or Switcher option is enabled. I'm also using a Switch pro controller and have had no issues with it for any game i've tried.
