I Need a little help after Chapter 2 with Osvald.

I just finished chapter 2 as Osvald. I am in the town of Cape Cold. I am a little confused as to what I should be doing or where I should go next. I have talked to the guy that needs a midwife, (side quest 1), But I am just wandering around that town now. Should I just be concentrating on that side quest or should I advance the main story as Osvald in Chapter 3 ?

I guess I am asking for help advancing to chapter 3. Please advise...

The map will have icons for either Osvald Chapter 3 (which does have a leap in difficulty), or you can go to areas for the other characters marked Chapter 1 to recruit them (you will play them solo for little while to learn them in their initial chapters).

The game opens up. The map has icons that indicate where the other party members are, as well as Osvald's Chapter 3. You'll also stumble across side quests, as you already have.

From there, it's up to you what order you want to tackle these things in. You could visit the other characters to fill out your party, grind to level 15-20, and continue Osvald's story; or follow the side quests; or start on the stories of the other characters; or just explore the map and see what you'll find. You'll probably want to do it all eventually.

The intended thing to do is go grab at least three other characters to have a full party, then do all their chapters in order of number. So do everyone's Chapter 1, then everyone's Chapter 2, and so on. This usually results in everyone being roughly the correct level to continue doing the story paths without interruptions. When you're done with those four party members, switch to the other four and do the same there.
