Also, priest + thief combo debuffs targets + buffs your party at night time, effectively allowing you to deal double damage on the first turn before any actions are taken. There's literally zero reason to not use this pairing for any reason.
Have you tested this to make sure?
The description reads "Equipping multiple characters with this skill will have no added effect". There is no indication that different skills that do similar things don't stack from the descriptions.

You can see the one with the extra xp and hard work skills active netted both more exp and more jp than the battle without.
