How much does a Foreign Ring boost crit rate?

It says it increases crit +35, but then also boosts rate at the start of battle, but I'm not really sure what this means as there is no indication. I don't think there is any way to detect just how much it might have boosted it in battle, as I don't think I can see stats in battle.

The reason I ask, is that I'm wondering what is best to combo with a Finisher's Claws (raises damage done by critical hits). If Foreign Ring doesn't really clarify what it does exactly, I think it might just be best to put a Critical Necklace (+80 critical) with it.

It should give you the 'crit up' buff at the start of battle. I believe all the 'at the start of battle' are three turns, though I haven't tested that fully.
