Are you guys using japanese or english voice?
just interested which voice language you are using
I somehow like the japanese more its more autentic and less cringe at some parts but english voice dub on other side makes it more comfartable cause´ you dont need too read everything if you dont want

English. I don't know Japanese and don't want to read the entire game and Japanese VA sounds awful to me. Way too much overacting, even compared to some of the English VA.

Japanese voices for sure. I almost never watch or play anything with something other than its original audio. I prefer the most authentic experience I can get to the creators intent. Reading is a non-issue for me so it's no big deal.

I usually do Japanese over English when given the choice. But the English voice acting for this title is actually good (most of it anyways). like some others have said, I'll switch to Japanese on the 2nd play through.

I tried English at first but I didn't like it.

The VA's speak SOOOO slowly, like so many dialogue text that pops up, im done reading before the VA's even start to speak because they are doing weird "emotional" sounds (sighing etc), its like they're trying too hard and its annoying.

The japanese for the most part speak faster, and i think it sounds better. Ochette + Mahina are especially good, and Partitio + Inventor + Catapult is hard to beat.

I wish the english was better/faster since I could just leave it on auto play and enjoy it that was, but i just cant.

My rule of thumb: for game from Japan (except the Souls series): Japanese voices, for the rest: English voices.

I turned off the voices and just enjoy the music. I don't like the ever-repeating catchphrases for every action.

Oh thats possible?
I think I did this with OT 1 too I like playing games like that more.
My favorite JRPG is Dragon Qest and I really liked the 9th part it had no voices and so I imagined my own voices

Settings - Sound - Voices. It's very kind of the devs to include this option and I'm really grateful for it!

I went with Japanese because I recognize a lot of the voice actors they chose. One of them is Aya Hirano who was the original voice for Lucy when Fairy Tail first came out. She's a really good VA and I will never get tired of hearing Ochette say GARORORO!

I created 2 separate save files and that way I enjoy playing through content with both languages, 1 save is dedicated for gameplay with English dubbing, the other one with Japanese. English voice acting sounds quite good so far (there were situations when I preferred Japanese over English, ie. Tsuki's last moments in Hikari's arms or Castti's try to catch Malaya after flashback in their respective Chapter 1, somehow I'm unable to stand Agnea's high-pitched sound), Japanese feels more fast-paced and conveys emotions in a more expressive way during cutscenes. However I was surprised to notice that English voice acting provided some additional dialogues that were missing in Japanese dubbing, ie. 3 Canalbrine citizens with fever in Chapter 1 were voiceless in Japanese audio when they spoke to Castti after she soothed them, while they responded with their respective voices in English version.

Overall sometimes it looks like English VAs received only script with text and recorded their voices in studio while Japanese VAs sound like they had a chance to test game during production stage (or received the copy of game before actual recording) and look into situation in order to convey appropriate feelings to the scene.
Safe travels~
