Are characters and stories disjointed again?
So, in the first game the character interactions and stories were pretty much completely unconnected, like the other characters just existed and you moved from story to story. I believe there was post-game content that kind of connected things, but my question, is this one the same way?

Do characters interact or do you just jump from story to story again with the other 7 companions pretty much just "being there."

So, basically, characters interact more, safe during the main stories. They banter during combat (commanting on breaks, being low health, deaths...), you still get little banter cutscenes from time to time (which can be watched in the journal if you missed their initial trigger), there are even a few chapters that focus on side stories between two of the Travelers (only four side stories, Hikari/Agnea, Ochette/Castti, Partitio/Osvald, and Throné/Temenos). All characters actually have believable reasons to travel with the others, and they get a little intro when they join the group, and all the first Chapters are actually solo, which is better for the narration overall.

So it's still 8 stories, each one about one single character, but the group feels more fleshed out, and I'd say it's more believable that the other travelers are here supporting their traveling buddy, even if silently. Imho there is also more sublte foreshadowing about all the stories being connected, little bits of intriguing info there, a weird NPC there...

Thanks for the detailed response, pretty much the information I was looking for.
