Ochette solo/duo run not possible?
i dont know if im just too stupid for the game, but i assumed the game would be solo-able like the first game (never finished it, just know of the solo runs) but the second and third leggy pokemons have mechanics resulting in an instant loss.

im actually not soloing in my first run, but duoing (temenos as my second char). the second one uses a mechanic wich removes one of your characters from the party, and once it does it twice its just game over.
the third one has a 3 turn freeze, wich disables your ability to act and leaves you with 1 hp.

am i missing something here? im currently lvl 47 and its kinda ridicoulus im unable to beat even the second boss just because my party is removed from battle after 5 turns lol.

i havent played any of the other routes or even any of temenos chapters so im not sure if its exclusive to ochette, but yea kinda annoying.

lots of bosses have unavoidable incapacitating abilities... My guess is that you'd need to be overleveled and kill them before they use that ability. One boss in particular petrifies on character right at the start of the battle. To solo it, you'd need an accessory that prevents petrifiction, and I haven't seen one yet.

Apparently, you can't access Temenos 3rd Chapter on Eastern Continent without a knockout (can't check if guide or some other skill like that works).
If that's the case, you can't solo Temenos either.

Completed Throné solo this weekend.
The last boss' 2nd phase (the single enemy), will OHKO with his first move, if you can't prevent it.
at least in this case, i could use Sidestep and then burn through his HP with a fully boosted "secret hired help" (apparently his move has a cooldown of a few turns).
i grinded my Throné to level 70 (a tad above 4k HP) and still had a few tries - get a series running and just grind with Boost-Start (merchant), A Step Ahead (secret job), Life in the Shadows (thief) and Vigorous Victor (apothecary).
Throné has one huge advantage tho: she can steal items from people. that way i got some pretty nasty items.

So i guess you'd have to level more, try some stuff.
pretty sure you can complete most, if not all (except Temenos, ♥♥♥♥ that guard) characters in a solo run.

The accessory you're looking for is The Divine Necklace and it can be found at a few places on sale for 8000 leaves.

While you can probably finish some character stories solo, I don't think you can per say, finish the entire game solo as you need all eight characters for the finale since unlike the first game, the credits don't play till the ending after you defeat Vide the Wicked.

Just cleared Ochette solo. Hardest boss is probably Terra, as his attack instant game overs. The rest are fairly simple if you A: Befriend a strong follower, B: Buy victory with the merchant subclass, C: Capture Devourer of Dreams.

Devourer of Dreams is broken AF, and can 1-shot most mobs in the game. Combined with Boost-Start and A Step Ahead, you can farm practically anything for EXP, JP, or Prepared items. Just Defend first turn and you get an immediate 3 BP attack. Combine with Life in the Shadows and any other EXP or JP boosting item and you can easily grind to however strong you need to be.
