No Mouse?
I could not even get past the settings screen. Is there not an option to play that with the mouse like every normal game? Even if i am forced to use just the keyboard, at least show me the keys that i have to use to navigate around the menus. I had to quit the game via the task manager. Welcome in 2023. Sad, and that for this price. Glad i installed just the demo.

"like every normal game" what kind of games have you played?
if WASD or Alt+F4 doesn't even cross your mind, you should stop playing games
it's 2023, learn computer 101 first, my child :d2tidehunter:

You can use WASD to move and change things in the menu. And right-mouse button you can get back to the left menu choices. It is a bit annoying indeed with keyboard mouse at first but you get used to it pretty quick, its not that bad.

hope this helps.

Real gamers use dance mats using only their tongues.

WASD for navigating the menus, left-click is the confirm button, and right-click is the cancel button. In-game, the default key for opening the menu is "i", and I think you can use your mouse's extra buttons to open up the menu screen. Everything else should be explained in the game, and if nothing else, you can navigate to the configuration menu to rebind your keys.

To exit the game, open the menu screen, then browse to Miscellaneous, and choose "Quit the game". Or simply press Alt+F4.

100% this...

But you always have those k+m purists that refuse to use anything other than their golden egg...

Real travelers use a gamepad!
you could design jrpgs great with mouse/keyboard controls. just think how beautiful it would be to navigate the context menu via mouse clicks. however no japanese dev seems to bother sadly. i have a gamepad, but i hate playing games on gamepad.

This game does have some mouse control, but it's not very good

Funny that this thread exists; I actually think so far that is is one of the more intuitive and comfortable M+K layouts I've seen in a JRPG; can click to interact, right click to go back, keyboard shortcuts and buttons are about 99% what I would have bound anyway.
I certainly don't feel like I *need* to use a controller here, unlike most other games in this genre which do the bare minimum, if anything at all.

Infact apart from maybe Soul Hackers 2 where you can literally use the mouse cursor to click on the action prompts in battle, I couldn't ask for anything better here.

Can't remember if Persona 5 did it either? But yeah look into Soul Hackers. It's coming to gamepass soon too.
I recall some indies doing this too years ago, way too obscure to remember the name sadly.

No mouse. -> None of my money. -> Not enough money, devs don't get paid. -> No devs, no updates/fixes. -> Game dies. ...moving on to something better...with a mouse.
