In other words, you can have up to 6 storage that you can put around your garden so you can always have close access to certain key items. I have one for big trees, one for angle ground pieces (since you can't stack them), one for rocks... The blue one is good for water tiles, since you can't stack those either and it's kinda colour coded for me.
They are a must have for large gardens if you like to move around a lot and work on different sections here and there.
