What do the color-coded storage boxes do?

Can someone please explain the storage bins (IIRC there's 6 of them); the description says something about "automatic teleport" to bases of the same color ??

I think i'm just confused on how to use them. Right now, I have one red and one yellow. they seem to function as a normal storage bin, but with less slots. I'm ASSUMING I need two of the same color ???

If you build another one of the same colour in another location, the box will teleport to the new location when you are closer to it. So whatever you put in the box will appear wherever you put one with the matching colour.

In other words, you can have up to 6 storage that you can put around your garden so you can always have close access to certain key items. I have one for big trees, one for angle ground pieces (since you can't stack them), one for rocks... The blue one is good for water tiles, since you can't stack those either and it's kinda colour coded for me.

They are a must have for large gardens if you like to move around a lot and work on different sections here and there.
