Industrializing your item farming setup [Rainbow coin spoilers]

With the newly added rainbow coins and the ability to place coins on altars, it is possible to get a huge amount of items or just a single type. Actually, you will only need rainbow coins after you have the full setup. I don't browse through the discussions that much, so I don't know if there's already a guide on this. Anyway, there's a list of steps you need to do here. You don't need to go through all steps, but each step will make the next step much easier to achieve.

Save up your rainbow coins as you are progressing through the steps.

1. Set up an area with a lot of altars to boost the spawn rate of forest coins from visitors. (I used 12)
2. Aim specifically for 28 of that brown open-book item which blacklists whatever you put on it. 28 which correspond to the number of different forest items (including the blacklist-book, so one of them will be empty after you are done). You should blacklist other forest items, or boost the blacklist-book spawn rate as you go, to speed things up. You will need way more than 28 eventually.
3. At this point, you should be getting 1 blacklist-book for every forest coin. Now set up another area similar to step 2, but this time for gold coin items, to farm altars. You need about 50 altars total, including the ones from step 1. You can go higher, but I'm content with this number.
4. Remove all the forest coins from your altars and replace them with rainbow coins. This will increase the chances of rainbow visitors spawning substantially. If you keep the forest coins, it will only hinder the spawn rates of rainbow visitors. Only go to the next step after your altars are filled with rainbow coins.
5. Get 45 blacklist-books. Buy a single rainbow item and place it in on a blacklist-book. Repeat until 44 of the blacklist-books are filled up (this includes the rainbow set book). If you get the duplicating sack, store it instead of because that's what you want a ton of.

Now that you are getting only duplicating sacks from rainbow coins, you can get lots of items really quickly. However, this is still not enough if you want hundreds or even thousands of terrain blocks, like say water or grass. To really industrialize your setup, you need to set up blacklisting areas for all coin types, and start to duplicate those "Sell this for lots of X items". Each duplicating sack gives 3 to 10 more of the same items, you will be gaining effectively 30 to 100 of the item you want per duplicating sack.

I.e. If you want to get a ton of water blocks, you should blacklist all water items except for the water block, and duplicate the "Sell this for lots of Water items", which gives 10 items each. What i would do is to move the seller into a large empty space and drop 10 of those water items package and watch half of my screen fill up with water blocks.

I had the idea of getting enough of those split wooden logs (i call the the split wooden logs, are they actually books?) for every item in the game, and then place all of them on there, and if i want 1 specific thing, i will remove that and dump a bunch of rainbow coins in the pot. This seems the easiest. And yeah altars to increase rainbow visitors.

I always assumed the blacklisting things were broken altars.

Thanks for this tip! It has really sped up my progress to having 'full' control on what items spawn from the candle pot.
