Hardcore Mode would probably give you an entirely different experience, you should try it! :)
As for pairings, there also is Cristoph x Shiori but it's a bit harder to unlock. I will make the requirements more lenient.
But yeah, considering I didn't really know anything about game before trying it out, kinda surprised how fast this jumped on my list of favorite indie games :D I don't really want to do any kind of dissection essay this early post release though I feel like I could do one x'D (something about this game and its execution really hits right for me. Like, voice acting and sprite animation really brings good amount of energy to the characters so they ended up as my favorite part of the writing of the game. I realize the villain of the story is pretty archetypal one for genre, but the music syncing up rather well with their speech to main characters during boss fight is just so hype to me that it just awesome to me x'D)
