Best as I can tell, you get a permanent party buff at 15k and 30k-50k. I don't know the exact numbers but they're around those margins. The buff in question is a luck increase and a drop rate increase. Assuming luck does what I think it does and affects crit rate, this is well worth it because this game showers you with money so long as you are fiscally responsible, a crits are one of the best ways of doing max damage towards the endgame.
Even if luck does literally nothing, the extra items dropped are useful in theory, and even if the whole thing does nothing whatsoever I managed to hand 10k over to the Luckos most maps without losing out what I felt was necessary equipment.
