Save progress?
Hey, how can I save progress? Just beat the first boss, went to library but had to turn game off. Started later, and found myself at the beginning of the game. It's it suppose to be like that? Like you have to beat the game in one run, or start from the beginning every time? Or am I missing something?

When you say, "beginning of the game," do you mean Sinner's Rest Abbey or the cut scene during the first boot up of the game?

I mean Sinner's rest.

Gotcha. When a run ends (typically through death), you get sent to the abbey, where you can spend the sin you accumulated in the previous run. This game is meant to be beaten in a single run, but there are unlockables that make it easier.

So I can't just play 20 min, quit, return next day and continue from the place I reached? What a crazy design. How long is take to beat the game then? I hadn't went past the library yet.

Like older arcade games, the replay value from these sorts of games comes from, you know, replaying the game.

The way it works is each time you go back to town with more money, and you buy permanent upgrades such as more and better potions, better starting weapons, etc.

So each time you get a little stronger, and you can make it a little further into the game, getting even more money for even more upgrades.

Or if you are just crazy good at the game, then you beat it in one try.

You should be almost max level just by playing on and off for about 10 hours total. Give or take based on your own skill level.

all of what you wrote is valid, except you are talking about replaying after death. And I am pissed off by the fact that I can't play 15 min, leave UNDEFEATED, and continue my run later, as I can do in probably every other game. including rogue like games.

That's why if you have to stop playing, you go back to town, spend all your currency to buff your character, then try to get further on the next run. You can end your run early for exactly this purpose.

I wish but no the part i do not like is you have to spend all your sin before the next run or you will lose it all or so it seems to me anyways.

You would be correct. You lose all of the sin you don't spend. It's certainly a design choice, but I think it's because they want you to kill as many enemies as possible in a single run rather than slowly accumulating sin over several runs to make a purchase.

makes sense though the part of not saying how the saving worked directly was a little annoying so you have to hit end run to save whenever you want to save your game no matter how many sins you have gotten in that run

Fair enough.
