loot stuck in lava

Sucks, I was in very similar situation... you can try something with cart, it doesn't get destroyed by lava, but im not sure if standing on it will protect you from lava or not.

I tried, but panicked and ended up sacrificing 3 or 4 lives moving my bag closer and closer to spot where i could pick it up without dying... and my cart is still stuck there.

Living water gives you some health regen, but its not enough to counter lava.

Would be nice if we could use a fishing rod to reel in the bag :)

Yeah, I'm about done with this myself. I have something like 5 loot bags in an area of lava that is too low to reach from the rocks and I feel like I have tried everything to get my stuff back!

it happened the same to me today :C and as much as i try to go near the bag, i cant reach it, and if i fell i cant get up on time, and have continued respawning...
i wanted to build a ladder or stair but it's not an option :C

I did it!!!
after failing and failing, i came up with the idea of throwing leaves at the lava, and thank goodness you can stand on them, get the loot, and make yourself a path of leaves, kept fainting a few more times, but i was able to get my precious bag

What needs to be fixed? It isn't a bug. Dying in lava is kind of a you problem not a game problem.

I have a similar problem when i fell down a hole which I couldn't climb out of. Developer quickly rectified the hole problem but all my loot is now sealed in the rocks! Lot nof loot as well.

Does the medicine for burns protect you from lava? Or at least reduce the effect

Thank you for this! I was about to abandon a 220+ day save out of disgust. I spent forever in that freaking cave and was nearly back out again when I walked too close to the edge. I can get to the bag for a moment but can't get back up. I will take a deep breath and try again using your idea another day. Thanks for the tip.

Outstanding idea! I had the same problem, fell off a rock with a load of iron ore. Went and got leaves, emptied weapons slots (to load iron weapons if I couldn't get back out - figured I'd at least save those by fainting in slots if needed), but was able to "leaf" over to my bag, and recover everything. I appreciate your idea!!

I once stuck in a hole between rocks in lava. My only way out in the end was to bring a kart down. Stand on this, get out and take the kart up again. Took ages to figure that out and get successful. But in the end it worked.

This worked for me, 98 yellow leaves later, a bridge was built to my full bag!

How are people falling in the lava? I've been in there a dozen times sprinting with a cart. I just don't see how anyone is falling in.

Basically, game stutters, you lose controls, inputs buffer in, it unfreezes and you find yourself in lava! Happened to me when my CPU heavy job took over the computer. Hard to do it in regular playthrough, only when things go awefully wrong.

That I can understand. I do get some pretty horrible freezes when the game autosaves. Which it does often.
