Swimming Level 10

At long last. I literally feel like Aquaman. You can swim so fast underwater and stay down for a long time. But I already finished the game a long time ago, so what's the point? It took a ridiculous amount of game time to complete literally just swimming back and forth for hours. There is no way to level Swimming or several other skills with normal game play even if you play for a long time. I think they need to increase the amount of experience for the skill awarded per tick. You get +14 points every few seconds depending if your swimming and how fast, so it's per distance maybe something like 10 yards. It should probably be more like +18 to 20. Same goes for some other skills like Medicine. Just way to slow to level normally you have to made tons of un-needed medicine just to level it. The skills could use a little rework.

Games finished now isn't it?
No more content that might require swimming or give you more reason to train it is there?
So maybe now that they know how much the average player is going to earn they could reconsider the scaling.
It's probably fair to say the xp rate was set right from the start when they didn't know how much would be needed and I guess they didn't really get it right.
Probably wouldn't hurt to boost it a bit now we know.
It's clearly designed with the expectation that people aren't getting to skill level 10 in normal gameplay. The target for the survival point is six, and each level requires double the last.

I have 678 hours into the game. Even after finishing all the content before the final release I just spent time building, gathering resources, improving my bases, etc. Mostly to kill time between farming and ore mining until the final release. But that is way beyond normal game play and even then I had to spend several hours just swimming back and forth along the coast of Copper Island to increase Swimming, it was very slow and monotonous but I had been wanting to know what level 10 was like for a very long time. But what's the point of having a max level that 99% of players will never reach?

Why do you think there's a point to it? Why should players reach a skill limit? While it seems like an aspect you focused on, not everyone has the same goals.
