Date palm juice collector?

What tree do you place this on? I can't place it on any of the palm trees by the grotto. Is it even worth crafting? I currently have 2 rain collectors, 120 water in storage and the fire with pot has 30 water in it. I don't really use plain water for hydration much. I get it from everything I eat that has food and water values.

You can only build it on date palms, not coconut palms. The juice you get from it refills a bit of hunger as well as thirst. Build one for the survival point if you want it then disassemble and get the materials back, or just keep it and sip on it from time to time.

I keep several collectors at different bases, the silver island beach has 2 date palms, so its free/easy food.

Not actually on topic but if the devs are reading this, there still seems to be a bug, if you build date palm juice collector and then dismantle it, and try to cut down that palm. The palm disappears but then it grows back within few seconds

I've mentioned it a few thousand times to the devs. You used to be able to put more than one collector on a date palm. Sure glad I went around and did this to every date palm I could find before they "fixed" the "bug"

Yes both food and water in almost equal amounts. It is a little OP but not at 5 units. And there are several other things that give food and water, smoked meats (when you learn smoker recipe), pineapples, oranges, etc.. You can grow pineapples. Sure wish we could also grow oranges I would love some orange trees on my farm.

I tried modifying the game files for the juice collector but its very hard to pick out the right one.
