I beached my raft.

When I took the raft from the starter spot to the Island of Hope I let it ride up onto the beach before dismounting. I know, that was dumb. Now I can't get it to go back into the water. There don't seem to be any physics in this game that let you move things like the raft or logs by walking into them. I guess I'm screwed until I can build a new raft?

Mouse over the raft and press G to "change". You can then hit SPACE BAR to "move" it wherever (in the water) you want it.

In addition to what Cranky mentioned, you can also man the helm of your raft and fast travel to any point you've built a dock, even if you are beached. Docks are something you should add to places you travel if for no other reason than they give you a fast travel point when on your boat/canoe/ship.
