Cheat codes / debug menu for this game?
Does that thing exist here? I'm tired of wandering around islands trying to find water since it never rains + i'm just curious on experimenting with the game.

Not that I know of.

Regarding water... my go to source was coconuts.

Other than that you have rain collectors and/or the water distillers.

Strange I have literally hundreds of Tegu flasks filled with water and palm juice. You just need to step up and industrialize. I am a mats feind. I collect and collect way more than I will ever need.

It's hard to industrialize when you start moving to other islands for the quests and the resources you need becomes pretty much obsolete (like palm leaves for bandages). The 10 mile running around for one resource and feeling like you are jumping on the moon is very annoying.

That's why you build a home base where you centralize all your resources and work stations. You can easily sail back home anytime. Later on you can also build outposts which serve as a place to rest, store items etc. Which might grow into a second large home as well. I have main home on Island of Hope and a second home on Copper island. Only two places I think are worth settling on. Trust me the more you collect and build the easier it gets.

I think making your homebase on the Ark if you have it is More productive as you can build everything you need in the living Quarters Then just build a Dock so you can drag a cart back and forth with the materials you need
There is a region in the game that NEVER has rain. So you have to plan ahead when you are in that region.
The FOV Tweaks mod by Norger at Nexus gives you, among other things, an admin panel that allows you to turn off things like building costs, max out your SPs, deactivate collision on building pieces (yes, build into rocks, cliffs and on uneven ground), fly, ghost through the terrain, spawn in items and set all your stats to max (refill hunger and water stats etc). I have it purely for the no collision aspect (i hate having to build a box on the beach every game) but if it's your thing for the sake of experimentation, you can cheat like crazy....... :)

To add something here, if you build your base on the Ark you can take your carts into the lower levels. That saves you from having to unload the carts at the dock to transfer the materials to the Ark. The carts will be safe and you have them available when at other islands.

The only downside is if you travel to an island without a dock you will have to swim ashore, build a dock, swim back to the Ark then dock it. Remember to have a supply of Builder's Toolkits available before swimming ashore.
