Can't harvest/move Shark underwater

It seems if you kill a shark underwater, you can't harvest it nor move the carcass. Is this intended? Am I missing something?

The dead shark will slowly float towards the surface where you can sail next to it and harvest it from the boat :)

To make the shark surface faster, you can push it from the bottom up. And then gut her from the boat.

yah, im currently trying that, but it just won't budge. We should be able to move them an a less janky manner
