Smoker

I've built the smoker added fuel got blue print for smoking fish,got raw fish. When I try to add it doesn't add it. What am I doing wrong. Need help. Thanks

The drying rack? Do you have sea salt?

No sea salt.

I'm a bit confused by your post - The drying rack doesn't take fuel. Just make sure you have a raw fish and 1 sea salt in your inventory, then open the drying rack and you should be able to add both to it.

I understand what your saying, I need to get sea salt to add to drying rack with the fish. 👍

I understand what your saying, I need to get sea salt to add to drying rack with the fish. 👍

If you need some help with the salt, as long as you have a campfire with a hanging pot you can just fill it´s tank with seawater to process some salt, also gives a little crafting XP for good measure.
Alternatively, if you can put together a water distiller you can produce clean water and salt at the same time, requires a bit more maintenance with firewood and refilling however.

Is the smoker still in the game? I have drying racks but I don't see a recipe for a smoker, even if I turn off the filter that prevents me from seeing recipes I can't make. I can, however, see a recipe for smoked meat, which I can't make because it says I need a smoker. There is what appears to be a broken down smoker in the camp near the iron mines in the volcano, but I can't seem to do anything with it.

Hey! Smoker is not in the game yet.
The recipe for Smoked Meat is visible because Smoked Meat can be found in the provisions bag you can take from the ship in the prologue, so technically it is in the game, but you can't craft it yet.
