However it'll hurt more than another title that has denuvo thrown on, as this game didn't exactly catch on by selling copies by the dozen, it's a cult classic game and games like that on systems without digital storefronts mean a lot of folks playing your game down the line are emulating it, it just feels like it's in bad taste to disrespect the fans that showed that there was still interest in this game.
We will have to see and hopefully they remove the denuvo, but I don't agree with the idea this is a slap in the face.
A lot of you plants from the Irdeto offices seem to come onto the Steam forums to try and push the narrative in the other direction. I'm surprised that none of you try to do this on Twitter or Facebook, a platform where there's a greater outreach against your company.
You wouldn't have bought it anyway.
I would have, one of the reasons I got a ds was this game, would love to play it again now that the ds has been dead for a while. I can wait till they remove the denovu given it costs what 1 million~ a year to use, by then the game may also be 75% off.
Capcom usually remove Denuvo from their games the only recent games where that hasn't happened is with RE Village and Monster Hunter Rise, but that's probably because they had paid DLC planned. I'm with you though , it's completely unnecessary DRM, I was caught out by Denuvo a few years back when moving house, and I tried playing Arkham Knight and the thing wouldn't launch because my internet hadn't been set up yet, so it's a pain and can punish legitimate customers
well... conversely they get my money then
Now playing my cartridge on my 3DS is piracy, hahaha, nuce joke, you know, it would have been nice to play it on PC, but with Denuvo, I'd rather play it on my old console legally.
