Ranzou might actually be the best character in the game. He is completely busted if you can avoid getting hit, his only weakness is his low health.
Both of his air attacks are strong, his running attack is good, and his smoke bomb is some of the best evasion and utility in the game. All of his specials are good, all of his specials also have high mobility attached, two of his specials hit a large area, the one that doesn't hit a large area is still long range, and none of his specials are redundant.
Ranzou has everything you could want. ...He does die to a stiff breeze, though. His main problem is one slip up that leads to an inescapable situation can mean death. But that's the tradeoff characters like Ranzou tend to have, he's basically this game's Chipp Zanuff or Akuma. Super good tools, but low HP. So always grab a health upgrade on him if you can.
Sonny fights with a drunken style, and has the expected ability to burn bar to keep going in situations where he should be vulnerable. His specials tend to leave him in a position where he can just start immediately hitting dudes again. His normal combo is long and great for hit confirms, and the full combo puts enemies in the launched state where they knock around other enemies, which is *really* strong in this game.
Sonny's special action adds even more hits to his already long combos, and allows you to evade a bunch of stuff while continuing to attack. For a guy that is perpetually tired, he's like the energizer bunny. He just goes and goes. He's kinda tricky to use and takes some getting used to, but he can be offensive pretty much all the time, which is a trait that by itself will put a character in the top half of this game's tier list.
I'm sort of half and half on Chin Sei Mei, but he's absolutely still good. He has tools that suggest he should be really good, but I think he has some issues. His running attack and double jump attack are both very fast and suppressive, but I find two of his specials and his special action are inconsistent and tend to leave him too vulnerable.
lol.. that all you got? >.<
There's no reason to "git gud" ... Mysterious Warrior owns everything. LOL
Ranzou is beyond broken. If you get any of his invincible special upgrades and SP reset on special KO he basically becomes an unkillable God.
I thought Marian was good but Ranzou basically churns the entire screen like butter once you build him.
What's up with devs going crazy for the dudes with red hair? Such bias...
