From what I could gather, you can pretty much make your own game if you like to, there might be that sense of pattern people like if they want to play in a certain way only. No wonder Sifu for example is well spoken often.
It looks like this point will actually enhance the game's combat and mechanics instead of being a defining feature, after all, it's still a beat'em up at its core, so to me if the combat is not engaging and there aren't much chains and combinations to do, that's what's a dealbreaker for me.
Barring them releasing a mess like that Xbox 360 DD2 remake, Wander of Dragons then hopefully we'll be OK.
Anyway as long as the game plays well then that's what matters to me. Looking forward to the release in summer.
And yes, people are entitled to their opinions, I'm not fond of roguelite/like games, but I don't have anything against either. I'll just find sad if the game ends up having an engaging combat, and someone pass it because of the roguelite elements. Unfortunately it's something that can happen, and that's okay since we have different standards and such.
Looking forward not only to the release, but with more info as well, game looks real promising! I just hope they don't rush it :d
I'm happy that online co-op is planned too even if it won't be ready for launch. I was worried that they wouldn't bother.
Best for them to take their time, especially if they're close to release here
I haven't followed RCG2 for a while. Is RCG2 still running at 30 fps? Is the netcode still terrible or has it been fixed?
Overall I tend to like WF games but their post-launch support is terrible or non-existent so pray that it launches with as minimal bugs as possible because chances are that they won't be fixed.
Considering they took 9 months to update Shantae 5's long loadings on PC, no wonder they're taking long with RCG2 as well, not to mention how they're still treating their games too if we take ArrowFell and Advance Wars Remake into account
Here's hoping Modus won't take this route, the game looks promising from its reveal
Any new footage or trailer in the meanwhile?
Here is the release date trailer but I am unsure if there is any new footage.

And yeah, there doesn't seem to have anything new in this trailer, which is a letdown honestly :/
Either way, I'm looking forward to it, hope that they already have the game already done proper if they managed to announce it close to release
