With parsec or steam's remote this isn't something mandatory anymore.

Yeah I noticed that I dislike steam remote but parsec is excellent. Steam remote is just a bad copy.

I have way more luck with Remote Play compared to Parsec. Input latency and image quality are way more stable there
There's no universal solution though, Parsec works for some, while SRP works to others. Might depend on connection type or file structure, dunno

P much, I still use Parsec for non Steam games, and FWIW it works usually well, especially if I'm the client instead of the host

That's another thing, parsec works for whatever is inside your PC, rpt is only limited to SOME steam games and also makes you wait with a black screen when not playing, something I hate. I even shared screen to watch movies with friends via parsec. And yeah the person with better upload and more stable internet speed should host. Anyways with certain upload is enough and you can host w/o issues even if the another person has better connection.
