I didn’t see any option to lock the fram rate. Ideas? Even though the game almost unplayable, i’m sure it’s just a matter of optimization not being possible given the difficult development journey this game has taken to even come to market. I just admire their perseverance— even the lag reminds me of retro gaming. if there is anywhere that I can submit some dump file or application log, I would be happy to contribute to finding the solution. I don’t know how helpful I could be since my knowledge is exclusively on the information technology side rather than the computer science side.
As Striker mentioned, it seems to be a problem with G-Sync. We will be working on this, but for now, it seems like the problem can be resolve by turning off G-Sync.
I tried launch option:
+fps_max30
But no luck.
I tried several external tools to speed up the game, but none of those worked.
I get a consistent 10fps and every few steps it will shoot up anywhere from 80 to 100.
Since I’m running an all AMD system am I looking for a launch option to disable freeSync or do I need to use system wide Microsoft display settings, the AMD software or some thing in the actual monitor settings?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
It’ll be interesting to see what about the library calls are causing this problem. Since it’s definitely repeatable across diverse configurations, it should be easier to track down.
