And don't forget the Ricochet Perk, it helps a lot.
Treat Double Shot tree as a damage boost. You will not be getting any AoE benefits from it due to the nature of the weapon.
When you hit 20 you'll see a fun perk that converts pierce into bounce. Pick it and you'll have screen clearing power... The only downside is you'll be chasing XP down.
As for other perks and stuff, really pick whatever.
EDIT: Also the lock rate is based on your current movespeed. By that I mean: You have to be moving to get locks, and the faster you are moving the faster you get locks.
Yeah, the weapon is garbage. It's fun early game, but once you hit the horse boss, they're worthless and can't even kill normal mobs anymore. Definitely needs some sort of damage scaling that isn't tied to the level 20 evolution, because this weapon is just awful mid-late game.
You go for lilith - the one with ghosts is lilith I think. They added something really busted for summons. Every summon explodes every 2 seconds so from minute 10 onwards u pretty much don't have to use any guns. Occassinally for bosses. You play it like vampire survivors. Drgaon ASAP and any summons u can. I often add lightning or freeze to have some ♥♥♥♥ for the first 10 minutes, especially that dog boss is trash. But if you get to 2 ghosts from a kill and you improve your summons to explode every 2 seconds. d15 is easy af.
Edit: I forgot to say I beat temple on darkness 15 with this setup
Runes: Power, Aftershock, Glass Cannon, Cadence, Courage, Momentum, Blessing, Growth
Hina's dash counts as movespeed for purpose of quickly locking (and damage for anything that utilizes mobility for damage). Combined with her reload-on-dash perk she can instantly lock 7-10 enemies during her dash every dash (with pierce-to-bounce is essentially a screen clear). She also gets invincibility frames while doing so you can freely use it as a mobility tool once you feel comfy.
With enough movespeed she can even push herself through walls with dash.
I also noticed that the pierce-to-bounce conversion for knives applies to ALL projectiles that can pierce, so the gale tornadoes will be bouncing instead of piercing.
Other then that if feels like there is a lot of anti-synergy with salvo knife, which feels bad, you track closest enemies which also can die from summons before you shoot
