Good damage options then are the pistol, shotgun, crossbow, and magic bow. Crossbow seems pretty solid, but what I finally got there with was the shotgun, focusing on bullet damage, bullet speed (i.e. range, when applied to limited range weapons like shotgun), Mini Clip synergy, curse, smite, and ice. I feel like because her talent doesn't thin out hordes much, you can expect Darkness 15 to be very in-your-face, so shotgun + smite is good for close range and the low ammo count triggers smite frequently. Curse and ice help mulch crowds and bosses alike.
imo the raven itself isnt her main tool, its the burn via curse and the fact that you spread curse a lot, the damage from the raven shouldnt be the focus.
you aim for a early ritual and go full bulletdamage, also i guess the elemental spread rune since her curse burn hurts bad.
effectiveness main is yea the 1st one spread curses wish all the crows did and didnt do dmg them self.
had an alright build on endless a bit squishy but did a ~1890 dmg with Revolver but got cut short due to low durability, avoided burn on curse and bullets to make sure the ritual were building up, but yes id say any weapon you would use in a curse build even bats but not so sure on smg.
Getting reaper rounds , some bounce and the increased damage to cursed enemies can be enough. once you have more projectiles you just flood the screen and the bats get multiple hits.
Take some summon stuff for extra damage and speed and the crows also get a boost so its a win win.
Mechanically it's my favorite gun and since it benefits from both summon damage and bullet damage it's easier to scale , most things that boost bullets (fire rate , bullet damage, number of projectiles) have a direct downside like boosting damage but lowering fire-rate which means they are way less effective over all.
Meanwhile most summon attack damage and summer attack speed are all pretty easy to take without lowering your bullet damage. even the tomes only lower reload speed which isn't an issue if you use ethereal bullets since you almost never need to reload.
Crows spreading curse and cursed enemies taking more damage upgrade is more useful than letting the curse itself trigger to kill enemies and gain bullet damage, curse needs to be reworked I think, even with the synergy to spread curse when a cursed enemy dies it just doesn't seem good.
If your bullet damage is too high you just one shot or two shot them , if your bullet damage is low the curse isn't as effective and either way you still need to wait for it to trigger.
Crows spreading it is a little better but it should still be useful for any character.
I simply wish Smite scale on bullet damage instead of health..
